PhP9,000.00 na lang ang pera ko. Kulang pa na pambayad sa VISA due ko na PhP11,221.00. Pero oks lang, may darating naman na productivity incentive bonus (PIB) at per diem dahil sa pagsama ko sa AdCom sortie sa Aklan.

Yan ang panimula kong statement kasi biglang parang di ko alam kung ano ang isusulat ko.

Parang di ko trip batikusin ang mga usual kong topics tulad nila GMA, Palparan, Alex Magno, etc. Pero baka rin mamaya, habang dumadaloy ang sulatin ko na 'to, ay mabatikos ko rin sila directly or indirectly.

Tagal ko ring di nagsulat dito sa blog, yung last na update, sabi, ay Pebrero pa, pero di naman ako ang gumawa nun kundi ang butihin kong misis. Pero oks na rin yun. Ewan ko.

Parang nawawalan na ako ng gana ng mag-apply sa Globe Telecom ng postpaid subscription. Well, una, kapos sa budget at pangalawa, karagdagang bayarin na naman yun. Although, parang sa ngayon na prepaid ako, parang malaki rin ang gastos ko, eh baka lalong mas mapalaki ang gastos ko pag-postpaid. Pero di naman ako nagsasalita ng patapos. Baka sa mas masusing cosy-benefit analysis, ay manaig pa rin yung desisyon na mag-apply ng postpaid line.

Napakahusay talaga kinakainan ko sa may kanto. Biro mo, PhP35.00 lang, kumpleto na ang tanghali mo. PhP35.00 = longsilog with fried rice, sabaw and Coke Sakto. The best. Si Eduardow Oda ang nagpakilala sa kin ng lugar na yun. Dun nga ako kakain mamayang lunchtime eh. Mga 35 minutes pa bago mangyari yun.

Thanks to a firmer resolve not to write TOO much about politics, I shall begin to share my thoughts on being a newbie wife, on my life as a married woman, on my journey towards a promising career (and an agency of my choice hopefully!) and the snippets of wisdom and wit I gather here and there.

However, when there is that urge to wrote about the "world", I shall strive and give my best to loosen up a bit and lighten things up. (wink.)

July 25 SONA. Woke up early to prepare things that Bats would be bringing with him.

When he came out from the shower, Bats couldn't believe the bulk he would be bringing. Nonetheless, I knew he was happy. I told him, "So you know the difference between being single and having a wife." While I was being the dutiful, pampering wife, deep inside, I was concerned, worried and a bit scared. Bats was going to battle. My tibak hubby is back.

We all know what happened during the SONA and what transpired in the streets (as covered by media). However, I have always believed that "THE TRUTH SHALL SET US FREE" thus I am going to share with you some photos and correct some figures that have been said in the news.

The PNP is always asked by media on crowd estimates. They reported 30,000. Media people also do their own estimates. They said between 20,000-40,000. The real figure: 80,000++ people, not including those who were "pro-ERAP, UNO and PMAP.

Tibak din ako. Back in college, I used to join rallies. Part of the SOPs for mobilizations is to report on the warm bodies that are actually present in a delegation. In that anti-GMA protest, people mobilized in UP and their numbers have already been accounted for. They spent the night over in UP in an anti-GMA concert cum cultural night. Despite the rains that night, people were pouring in. Please do not think that I'm bluffing. I don't bluff, and I was there.

While the anti-GMA crowd were barred from proceeding to Batasan, they continued to hold their program for the day. These are the pictures of those killed by the military during "zoning" (while these men and women were organizing communities, teaching kids, etc.) in Samar and Mindoro.

One cannot fully imagine one's grief over a loved one's death, moreso if they were killed mercilessly and violently. Three (3) of my 2nd-degree male cousins suffered the same fate. Kuya E was a very active organizer. He was missing for the longest time until our family learned that he was dead. His body was never found. His younger brother, E, took after his Kuya. He was also into community organizing. While on "duty" (teaching farmers), some military men pounced on him, dragged him and beat him black and blue. Hindi pa nakuntento, kinaladkad nila si E habang ito'y lupaypay, duguan at halos wala ng ulirat. His body was missing for days (or weeks, this escaped me now.) but his body was later found (so our family was able to give him a decent burial). I didnt know about it then but from what I learned, his wake and his actual burial were attended by the community he organized and his peers. May mga militar pang nakaronda sa barangay namin. "Under surveillance" daw ang buong pamilya namin.

The latest death was as tragic. T was found dead someplace so his body was brought to the morgue to be identified. Since he has been missing for days already, his parents were already searching funeral homes and vacant lots. (For a family whose tibak relatives have been under military watch, what would instinct tell you when your son is missing?)

I was told that my Tita wailed like mad when she saw the toes of the body to be identified. (Remember, bodies are covered.) She knew in her gut it was her son.

While there are some who do not fully comprehend why people go out to the streeets, there are those that continue to resort to mobs to air out their concerns. There are realities that we do not understand because it is not "close to home" but I pray that in your heart, you will attempt to understand.

Kissing Bats goodbye as he leaves for UP seemed like a spiked string tugging my heart. As I watched him walk farther from me, I offered a silent prayer to Him. "Please take care of Bats. Please guide the people as they fight for justice. Please be in their midst. Let Your Light shine upon us all."

While Bats was in the streets, I kept him posted as I monitored the SONA coverage. I updated him on what PGMA said, on how the audience were, including how distinctly different Drilon and de Venecia's reactions were.

I realized that while Bats and I opted to go on distinctly separate paths that time, our end-journey was the same. We both aspire for a better country, for a decent, just society where all men and women have respect for one another regardless of social and class differences.

That July 25 SONA was remarkably a commencement of how our life (of togetherness) would be. Towards a progressive life for our children. For the country.

Ngayon, we'll start na with our married life and kampante naman ako, although i'm sure mas madami pa challenges na darating, na kakayanin namin yun lahat ni She kasi matatag kami bilang mag-partner at suportado namin ang isa't isa. Yun naman ang mahalaga sa isang relasyon eh. c",)!

Ang susunod na "project" ay ang pagbi-baby. c",)! Excited na rin ako sa thought na magkakaroon na ako ng anak! !(=

Sa landas na amin pang tatahakin, nawa ay magkaroon kami ng magandang DHM para mag-complement ito sa mga adhikain naming mag-asawa. c",)!

At siempre pa, padayon pa rin sa pag-aambag ng aming sarili, isip at gawa, para sa pagbabago ng lipunan. Sana ay mas lumaki pa ang partisipasyon namin sa malawakang adhikain na ito. c",)!

Di ko man ma-articulate ang sarili ko sa sulating ito, masayang-masaya ako sa mga pangyayari sa buhay namin ni She at ngayong napanday na ang aming pagsasama, inaasahang kong mas magiging mayaman pa ang aming pagmamahalan at magiging progresibo ang aming relasyon. Una, gusto ko lang sanang i-link dito ang tugon ng kilusan hinggil sa napabalitang pag-"ambush" daw ng mga NPA sa mga sundalong nagsasagawa ng "relief operations" sa Bulacan.

Hacienda Luisita and the AFP

I would just like share the following articles recently posted in the Philippine Revolution Web Central, namely:

All I can say is that the issues and demands being raised by the sugar workers are just and long overdue. The violent and murderous dispersal by the military and the police, with the blessings of course of the Cojuangco/Aquino families and the upper echelons of the military and the national government, is oppressive to the highest degree.

The perpetrators of the murder of 14 sugar workers, family members and supporters should be punished by the revolution.

The rank and file of the military should already defect to the revolution and end their being used as puppets and pawns by the exploiters and oppressors.

The time to defect is now.

"s" On My Chest.. Stronger Than Ever"

Dalawang bagay, pirated CDs at promotions.

Una, nakabili na ako ng piniratang kopya ng "Indio I" ng Indio I at "Probably Not, But Most Definitely" ng Imago, sa Cartimar, Recto kaninang tanghali.

Tuwa ako kasi at least may pamalit na ko sa nawala kong dalawang original CDs ng mga nabanggit na albums.

Pero sa likod ng aking isipan ay may kaba sapagkat duda ko, marahil ang mga nabili kong pirata ay hindi hango sa orihinal na CD kundi sa cassette tape. At isa pang pag-alinlangan ay ang posibilidad na hindi maging maayos ang pagkakakopya ng digital information ng orihinal papunta pirata, kaya pag kopyahin sa Windows Media Player, malamang na sumablay o hindi makopya. Pangatlong kaba ay nag-uugat sa malaking posibilidad na ang mga nabili ko ay hindi gumana o mag-play sa top-deck ko na CD player sa bahay, kagaya ng mga dati kong mga nabili nuong unang panahon.

Dalawa na kasi ang uri ng mga nagbebenta ng mga piniratang CDs sa may Cartimar eh. Yung mga nasa loob ng building at yung mga nasa labas. Yung mga nasa loob, katulad ng Deesign's World, ay mas mapagkakatiwalaan na talagang hango sa CD ang mga pirata at maliit lang ang posibilidad ng sablay. Pero yung mga nasa labas, andyan ang kadalasan yung mga Filipino artists na CD ay hango lang sa tape, andyan ang di maayos ang pagkopya ng digital information, andyan ang di mo mapapatugtog sa top-deck player.

Nagkatotoo ang aking pangamba.

Pero pinagtyagaan ko na rin na i-kopya sa Windows Media Player kahit may mga sumusunod:

1)Hindi ayon sa original na track listing ang track listing ng pirata;

2)Hindi tugma ang tituto ng file na tumutugtog na kanta

3)Hindi lahat ng tracks nakopya dahil sa incorrect information; at,

4)Hango sa cassette tape ang isinalin sa CD kaya hindi kasinglinaw at kasingpino ang tugtog

Nakakalungkot. Parang mas nadoble pa ngayon ang lungkot ko.

Marahil ay kahit sa mga pirata, wala akong mabibiling kopya ng mga CD na nabanggit ko na hango sa original CD. Tsk. Buhay nga naman oo.

Pero sige lang. Hanap pa rin ako.

Pangalawa, nalulungkot ako dahil sa dalawampu't limang (25) ni-recommend para i-promote pa-PSO 3, ikadalawampu't isa ako (21st). Nga pala, ang PSO 3 ay Presidential Staff Officer III.

Meron kasing "promotion exercise" na isinasagawa ang opisina sa kasalukuyan at noong 16 November 2004, inilabas na ang memorandum hinggil sa Final List/Recommendees For Promotion at yun nga, pang-21 ako sa 25.

Napapakanta tuloy ako ng, "Kayong nagtataka, nagtataka, nagtataka!!! Kayong nagtataka, nagtataka, nagtataka!!! Hah, inosente lang ang nagtataka! Hah, inosente lang ang nagtataka!"

Isasarili ko na lang muna ang mga dahilan ko ng pagtataka.

Bilang kaugnay sa pagtataka ko, isip ko lang, ba't ang mga katulad ko, sampu ng iba pang mga manggagawa at kawani dito sa PMS na tuwid at nagtatrabaho naman ng maayos, ay pahirapan ang promotion at pagkamit ng mga makatarungang benepisyo. Bakit ang mga katulad nila Joanna Rodriguez, na dati ay tagabitbit lang ng mga gamit ni PGMA, ngayon ay Director na at tagapirma pa ng mga referral letters na lalabas mula sa PMS sa ngalan ni Rigoberto Tiglao, na syang pinuno ngayon ng opisinang ito?

Di kaya nakakapindeho ito sa mga director at iba pang mataas na opisyal dito sa PMS? Na tumanda na sa kakatrabaho dito ay saka pa lang na-promote tapos bigla may mga dadating na animo'y palaka sa layo at taas ng natatalunang pwesto.

Matindi talaga sa gobyerno.

Matindi talaga ang sistema dito sa Pilipinas.

Pero katulad ng rebolusyong Pilipino, di ako nawawalan ng pag-asa mababago din itong ganitong kalakaran at sistema.

"s" On My Chest

I'm very depressed right now.

I lost, and can't seem to find, two favorite original CDs of mine.

These are:

1) Indio I; and,

2) Imago

I don't even have a bit of an idea where I lost it. Did I lose it in my sister's place in Marikina? Did I lose it when I left my place in Greenheights? Did I lose it when I left Baesa? Fuck.

Those are great CDs, and I got them on sale.

Worst thing is that I think they're out of print already, meaning, the record companies who carried these CDs have ceased to manufacture, produce or print copies of those albums.

Fuck. The last three days all the lines I hear in my mind are these, "And so I write, little letter "s" on my chest, little letter "s" on my chest, I put my faith to the test.."

And to add to my depression is that I think I didn't lose just two, but a bagful of CDs, both original and pirated, including some video CDs. My inventory before I left my place in Greenheights, Marikina (not my sister's place but the one my bro and I stayed for quite sometime) number to about 250 CDs, excluding the pirated CDs, VCDs and original VCDs. I just dunno if I still have all 250 CDs right now. I regret not having a coded or systematic listing and arrangement of my CDs. Tsk.

And I don't think I'd be able to start coding or putting a system to my inventory right now. I'm still very much depressed. I can't help it.

What I think I have to do for the meantime is to continue looking for the lost CDs in the places where I think I lost them, ask around for people you may have borrowed them from me (honestly, I can't remember lending them to my friends), then, at the same time, look also for pirated copies of it in Cartimar, Recto, or wherever, to ease my musical pain. Then, maybe try to look around if there's someboby willing to sell or give me their own original copies. I'd take it even if it's second hand.

If I really won't be lucky, or should I say, won't have dialectical and historical materialism on my side, I'll have to make do with my original cassete tape copies of those two lost CDs of mine. Sad.

..just sad, frustrated, humbled and degraded.. bring down the Godhead..

Maybe during lunchtime today.. Do and I might go to Cartimar and start searching. he has other intentions, he wanna go there to have one of the CDs he bought last week replaced. Me, to start the hunt for the lost CDs, at least, pirated copies of it. !)=

Ang tunay na pagsisilbi sa bayan ay mas malalim pa sa pagsisilbi ng mga kawani sa pampublikong sektor.

Hindi matatawaran ang hirap at pagod ng mga kawani ng pamahalaan sa araw-araw na ginagawa nila subalit kung pupuntuhin ng mas ispesipiko, kanino ba talaga napupunta ang serbisyo ng mga kawani, sa tao ba o sa mas makapangyarihan?

Ang Office of the President ba ay talagang nagsi-serbisyo sa sambayanan o si GMA lang at ang mga kaibigan at alipores nito sa loob at labas ng bansa ang nakikinabang?

Ang Department of Justice ba ay totoong makatarungan sa mga tao o mas kinikilingan nito ang mayayaman at makapangyarihan sa lipunan?

Ang Government Service and Insurance System (GSIS) ba ay tunay na nagbibigay ng benepisyo sa mga miembro nito o ginagawa lang itong gatasan ni Winston Garcia at ni PGMA?

Ang Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) at Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) ba ay tunay na nakakatulong sa mamamayan? Marahil oo, pero ampaw ito kung ikukumpara sa bilyones na pondo na ibinigay sa kampanya ni GMA noong nakaraang eleksyon.

Marami pang iba.

Ang mga kawani ay kinakasangkapan ng mga makapangyarihan sa loob at labas ng pamahalaan para itaguyod ang kanilang makasariling interes.

Kaya ang pinakamainam na pagsisilbi sa sambayanan ay yaong pagsisilbi na naglalayong mapawi ang paghahari ng imperyalismo, pyudalismo at burukrata kapitalismo. Ang tunay na pagsisilbi ay ang pagrerebolusyon laban sa mga pangunahing kaaway ng sambayanan, ang bulok na gobyerno, mga dayuhan at lokal na malalaking kapitalista, mga malalaking panginoong maylupa, mga burukrata-kapitalista o mga tiwaling opisyal ng pamahalaan, at yaong mga sagad-sagaring kasangkapan nila para maitaguyod ang interes nila tulad ng militar, pulisya at mga huwad ng progresibong grupo.

Hinggil sa pagtutol mo sa kaseguruhan sa trabaho sa pamahalaan, dapat maging magkaagapay kayo nila Dr. Alex Brillantes ng UP-NCPAG, Kenneth Ellison ng World Bank, David Osborne and Ted Gaibler na mga tagasulat ng librong "Reinventing Government", pawang mga tagapagsulong ng ideya ng streamlined bureaucracy. Gusto nila na ang pamamalakad ng gobyerno at ihalintulad sa pribadong sektor.

Hindi ako sang-ayon dito. Una, sa pananaw ko kasi ang pagiging tunay na produktibo ng isang pamahalaan, gaano man karami o kaliit ang mga kawani, ay nasa pamamalakad. Kung marami ang kawani, eh di i-maximize ang productivity nila sa pamamagitan ng efficient na paggamit sa kanila. Nagiging tiwali at tamad ang ilang kawani dahil na rin sa nakikita at nakasanayan nilang katiwalian at katamaran. Kung may tunay na political will ang mga administrador ng pamahalaan na ayusin itong gawaing ito, sa lahat ng lebel, lalung-lalo na mula sa Presidente ng bansa, maaari itong lutasin.

Pangalawa, di maaaring ihalintulad ang pamamalakad ng pampublikong sektor sa pribadong sektor dahil ang puno't dulo ng gawain ng pamahalaan na ang magserbisyo sa tao ay taliwas sa hangarin ng pribadong sektor, ang kumita ng napakaraming tubo. Ang serbisyo publiko ay dapat hindi gawing kalakal, lalo na, hindi ito dapat pagkakitaan.

Hinggil muli sa dahas, ang people's court ng BHB ay di tulad ng mga korte ng hudikatura sa bansa na kumakampi sa makapangyarihan at mayaman. Ang napapatawan ng kaparusahan ng people's court ay tunay na pinadaan sa matagalaan at masinsinang paglilitis. At sinisigurong ang mga napaparusahan ay yaong tunay na may kasalanan sa mamamayan. Hinggil naman sa "demokrasya". Oo, totoo nga na hindi nasasapat kung demokrasya ang magiging sistema ng bansa. Kaya nga ang isinusulong ng rebolusyunaryong kilusan ay ang pambansang demokrasya na may sosyalistang perspektiba. Ibig sabihin, demokrasya na nakaugat sa mga batayang sektor at nakaangkla sa mas mataas na adhikain ng pagkakapantay-pantay na makakamit sa isang sosyalistang lipunan. Bastardo ang "demokrasyang" sinasambit mula nung 1908, nung 1946, nung 1986, magpahanggang ngayon.

Handa na ang sambayanan sa pambansang demokrasya na may sosyalistang perspektiba. Sobra na ang paghihirap ng mga tao. Kung ihahambing sa bulok na sistemang umiiral ngayon, marapat lang na magkaroon ng rebolusyon at pagbabago.

Hinggil sa komento sa rebolusyon. Never Mind, kahit wala man o merong rebolusyon, may dikotomiya talaga at pagkakahati ang lipunan. May kontradiksyon. Sa lahat ng mga yugto sa kasaysayan ng mundo, nuong panahon lamang ng Primitibo Komunal walang naganap na tunggalian ng mga uri. Subalit sa mga sumunod na mga yugto, mula Slavery, Feudalism, Capitalism at Imperialism, nagkaroon at mas lalo pang tumitindi ang tunggalian ng mga uri. Pilit na tinatalo ng kasalukuyang naghaharing-uri ang uring umuusbong upang mapanatili ang status quo. Sa kabilang banda, ang umuusbong na uri naman ay pilit na pinapabagsak ang naghaharing-uri dahil na rin sa katotohanang ang naghaharing-uri ang syang nagpapabulok sa pag-unlad ng sistema, sa pagbabago. Inherent sa ruling class na panatilihin ang status quo para manatili rin ang pagkapit nya sa interes nya. Ganito magpasahanggang ngayon.

Hinggil sa ideya ni Never Mind sa pagsabog ng lipunan, nalalabuan pa rin ako. Pano pa makakapagtuwid, makakapagbago ang lipunan kung patay na ang lahat ng mga tao, pati na rin ang mga organismo sa mundong ibabaw dahil sa pagsabog? c",)! "Magsimula sa kawalan", ano ito, ulitin ang Big Bang Theory? Hehe!

Sa pambansang demokratikong rebolusyon na may sosyalistang perspektiba at pinamumunuan ng CPP makikita ang tunay na pakikibakang may ideyolohiyang makatao, mahusay na organisasyon at may tamang kondukta ng pulitika.

Pasasalamat ko ulit sa bagong komento ni Never Mind sa pangalawang artikulo ko noong ika-10 ng Nobyembre. Nahikayat muli akong magsulat sa araw na to. c",)!

Nagbanggit si Never Mind hinggil sa pagkagulantang nya nung nalaman nya na ako ay nagtatrabaho (o inaalipin.. hehe..) sa Presidential Management Staff (PMS) sa ilalim ng Tanggapan ng Pangulo (o Panggulo... hehe...) ng Pilipinas (Office of the President). Marahil ay kagulat-gulat para sa kanya ang malaman na may mga taong tahasang pinapakita o binubulalas ang pagkamuhi sa isang bulok na pamahalaan at huwad na pamunuan nito. Marahil ay kagila-gilalas rin sa kanya ang malaman na may mga empleado pala sa loob mismo ng Tanggapan na hindi naniniwala at may pagtutol sa salita, asal at gawa ng isang Pangulong walang pandinig sa hinaing nitong mga empleado at walang pandama sa karaingan ng kabuuang ng mamamayang Pilipino.

Naintriga pa sya sa "adhikain" ko. c",)! Para sa iyong kaalaman Never Mind, walang pagkakaiba ang adhikain ko sa pagtatrabaho dito sa Tanggapan ng Pangulo, kagaya ng iba pang kawani at manggagawa, nagnanais lamang ako na mabuhay at maitawid ang sarili sa araw-araw. Kasama na dito ang pagtitiis sa kakarampot na sahod na binibigay sa akin, sampu ng mga kasamahan ko di lamang dito sa PMS kundi maging sa iba pa mang mga ahensya ng pamahalaan.

Mahirap maghanap ng trabaho ngayon, kahit nagtapos ka man sa mga premyadong pamantasan at nakatapos ng mga mahuhusay ng kurso, buwan at taon ang aabutin mo bago makahanap ng trabaho. Makahanap ka man ng trabaho, ang sahod ay di sasapat para mabuhay ng maalwan. Para magkaroon ng sahod na mataas, kelangan mo naman mawalay sa mga mahal mo sa buhay dahil wala naman ibang hanap-buhay na nagbibigay ng mataas na sahod kundi ang pangingibang-bayan.

Eh bakit ako nagtitiis sa kakarampot na sahod (PhP1,600.00 o US$28.4 kada linggo) na natatanggap ko dito sa opisinang to? Una, tamad pa ko mag-update ng resume ko (hehe!). Pangalawa, tamad pa ko magpamudmod ng mga kopya ng resume ko at cover letters sa ibang mga ahensya ng pamahalaan o sa mga pribadong kumpanya (kung masisikmura ko pang magpaalila pa sa mga buhong at mandarambong.. haha!). Pangatlo, masaya pa ko sa mga kakilala ko dito sa tanggapan (mga kapwa staff, pero sa Man Team, medyo nag-iinit ang ulo ko..). Pang-apat, may libreng internet (bagamat maraming kaululang restrictions, pwede na pagtyagaan, upang makapag-blog paminsan (makapagbahagi ng mga saloobin). Panghuli, di pa nalalagot ang pasensya ko ng tuluyan.

Hungkag ang sabihin na mga "tuta" ng Pangulo ang mga rank-and-file ng Tanggapan ng Pangulo, at mas lalong hungkag ang sabihin na ang mga empleadong ito, lalo na kung ginigipit, nililinlang at pinagsasamantalahan, ay hindi dapat "kagatin ang kamay ng nagpapakain". Hindi naman aso ang mga empleadong ito eh. Tao ang mga ito na kelangang kumain, mabuhay, maipag-aral ang mga anak at lalo't higit, may isip at katinuan. Tsaka hindi si Pangulo ang nagpapakain sa amin kundi ang mga mamamayan, sa pamamagitan ng buwis. At ang buwis na ito, kasama ng hirap at pagod ng mga empleado para magtrabaho, ang bumubuhay sa Pangulong ito.

Samakatwid, may karapatan ang mga empleado, kagaya rin ng ibang mga api at pinagsasamantalahang sektor ng lipunan, na magreklamo at batikusin ang Pangulo at pamahalaan na hindi tumutugon sa pangangailangan at adhikain ng sambayanan. Kung may tuta man sa usapin na ito, ito ay walang iba kundi sa Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo na tuta ni George Bush, tuta ng oil companies, tuta ng malalaking negosyante at tuta ng mga panginoong maylupa. Kung may aso man, ito ay walang iba kundi si GMA pa rin, kasama ng mga alipores nyang bulaang ekonomista, bobo at buwakaw na militar at tiwaling mga opisyal ng pamahalaan. Isama na rin natin dito ang mga dorobong nasa lehislatura at hudikatura. Puro kahol ng kahol hinggil sa paglaban sa kahirapan, hinggil sa kapayapaan, hinggil sa pagbabago, eh wala naman laman, puro ingay, puro kasinungalingan at kakapalan ng mukha.

Hinggil sa komento ni Never Mind sa kalagayan ng lipunan, na ito raw ay "nabubulok at nangingitata sa basura", na sinabi daw ng propesor nya na "kung ang lansangan ang paaralan ay malamang puro basura ang matutunan dahil puro basura ang ating lansangan", parang ayoko ng patulan dahil napakababaw naman ng pagtingin na ganito. Literal na ewan. Bukod sa naaalala ko tuloy ang kanta ng The Youth na "Basura" (mula sa "Album na Walang Pamagat"), naiisip ko na bakit kaya may mga ganito, mga propesor pang naturingan pero utak langaw naman kung pagbabatayan ang kaisipan at kaalaman itinuturo sa mag-aaral. Pero di naman kataka-taka yung ganun eh. Kasi may mga propesor naman talagang ganito, tulad halimbawa nila Alex Magno at Renato Velasco ng UPD.

Basta ang alam ko, totoo ang naturan ng estudyante, na ang lansangan nga ang syang tunay na paaralan ng lipunan. Kung puno man ng basura ang lansangan o ang lipunan, kagaya ng nabanggit ni Never Mind at ng Propesor, nandun ang mga nagnanais matuto sa paaralan ng lansangan upang walisin ang basurang nabubulok tulad ng bulok na pamahalaan at liderato nito, panlilinlang, pananamantala at opresyon, linisin ito at ipamalita sa iba pang tao ang katotohanan hinggil sa lipunan at ang tamang solusyon para tuluyan ng mapawi ang kabulukang umiiral.

Bukod pa nga sa paaralan ng lansangan, may isa pang higit na mahusay pagkuhanan ng kaalaman at katotohan, ang mga larangan sa kanayunan. c",)!

Hinggil naman sa pakikipanayam sa masa, na nakasalamuha din naman daw ni Never Mind ang mga kapwa nya kawani ng pamahalaan, simple lang, ano ba ang hinihiling ng mga karaniwang kawani ng pamahalaan, mga kawani ng mga pambansang ahensyang pamahalaan, mga kawani at guro ng mga paaralan at state universities and colleges (SUCs), mga kawani at manggagamot ng mga hospital ng pamahalaan, sama na natin ang mga karaniwang empleado ng mga sinasabing government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), apti na rin mga empleado ng lehislatura at hudikatura? Ano ba ang hinihiling na mga ito? Lalo na yun mga kontraktwal? Di ba ang makatarungang sahod, benepisyo at kasiguruhan sa paninilbihan?

At kung palalawakin natin ang sakop ng terminong "masa", ibig sabihin, kasama ng ang mga manggagawa sa pribadong sektor, mga pesante at mahirap na magsasaka, mga maralitang tagalunsod, mga katutubo, mga estudyante, kababaihan at kabataan. Lahat ito may mga kahilingan din. Mula sa tamang pasahod, pambansang industriyalisasyon, tunay na reporma sa lupa, kasiguruhan sa paninirahan, karapatan sa self-determination, dagdag na subsidyo ng pamahalaan sa edukasyon at iba pa. Ito ang tunay na larawan ng masa. May mga ilang hindi kumikibo at piniling manahimik at umiwas sa pakikibaka sa lansangan ngunit hindi ibig sabihin nito na ang mga taong ito ay walang mga suliranin at kahilingan. Hindi ito mga bulag. Kailnangan lang na sila ay imulat, i-organisa at pakilusin.

Hinggil sa komento ng pagiging idealista, mukhang hindi idealismo ang mga sinasabi kong ito. Sa pananaw ko, ang mga ito ay nakabatay sa katotohanan at mga tunay na kaganapan sa lipunan. Ang idealismo ay hungkag, dahil ito ay pagtingin at paglapat ng solusyon na hindi nakabatay sa realidad, sa kasaysayan, sa konkretong batayan at sa kongkretong gawa. Hiwalay din ang isang ideyalista sa kabuuang buhay na pakikibaka. Mas kumportable ang isang ideyalista sa isang mala-pantasyang pakikibaka at ang mangarap na sana ang mundo ay maayos. Marami ring mga ideyalista ang nagkakaroon ng pananaw na anarkista, yung ayaw tanggapin ang pag-iral ng mga sistema, pamahalaan at batas (ito man ay sa pamahalaan o sa rebolusyon). Ang nangyayari tuloy, nagiging "one-man army", na wala namang magagawang tunay na pagbabago, bagkus, malalamon lang ng sistema.

Naalala ko tuloy ang bandang Sex Pistols, may kanta silang "Anarchy in the U.K.". Marami pang bandang punkista na anarkiya ang mensahe. Ayoko sa mga bandang ito. Mas gusto ko pakinggan ang mga bandang The Clash at The Jerks kasi may nakabatay sa realidad at tunay na pakikibaka ang mga kanta nila. c",)!

Hinggil sa komento naman doon sa konsepto ng paggawa ng mali. Simple lang, ayaw natin ng maling gawa. At lalong lalo nating ayaw na tayo ay minamali. Ang liderato ng pamahalaan halimbawa, kasama na ang mga oil companies, mga negosyante, militar at iba pa, ay punung-puno ng gawaing mali, na kung saan ang bayan at mamamayan ang nagdurusa dahil dito. Pag nagrereklamo ang bayan o ang mamamayan sa pamamagitan ng protesta, ito ay susuklian ng dahas at pananakit sa panig ng pamahalaan, may kasama pang pagpatay.

Kapag ikaw ay dinadahas, sinasaktan at pinapatay. Makatarungan lamang na depensahan mo ang sarili mo. Kung may baril ang umaapi at nananamantala sayo, matino lamang na depensahan mo ang sarili mo sa pamamagagitan rin ng baril. Hindi ito mali, bagkus ito ay tama. Kaya nga dahil sa pananalanta ng AFP at mga kampon nito, nandyan naman ang BHB para depensahan ang mamamayan.

Hinggil sa revolutionary tax, eto ang sinabi ni Ka Roger sa aspetong ito an hinalaw mula sa isang panayam nitong Enero:

"Revolutionary taxation is also necessary for the various social services within the scope of the people's government such as the programs for the people's health care, for the propagation of mass education and the development of people's culture, for the development of production and economic projects...

"The bulk of revolutionary taxes - up to 90% - is collected from the exploiting and oppressing ruling classes. It is minimal and voluntary on the part of the democratic classes, especially on the part of the toiling masses...

"(In carrying out revolutionary taxation,) issues are brought to the negotiation table. The TIU does not intimidate or make any personal threats. No bullet, black ribbon or black clothing is ever sent. All aspects of negotiations are carried out formally and with restraint..."

Hinggil naman sa nabanggit na mga preskripsyon ni Never Mind:

1)Na Kailangan ang disiplina at respeto sa karapatan ng kapwa;

2)Hindi paggamit ng dahas;

3)Isang rebolusyunaryong kilusan na hindi tutumbasan ang mali ng isa pang mali;

4)Ang hindi pagtatapon ng sisi sa mga taong iba ang pamamaraan at paniniwala;

5)Ang hindi paghawak ng armas upang makipaglaban;

6)Ang hindi palawigin ang dikotomiya at pagkakahati sa lipunan; at,

7)Ang pagsisimula ng lipunan sa kawalan.

Ang masasabi ko lang ay:

1)Kung inaapakan na ng iilan ang karapatan ng mas nakararami, ang nakakarami ay may karapatan ding bumangon at labanan itong pang-aapak ng karapatan ng iilan.

2)Ang dahas ay ginagamit lamang ng mga walang katwiran, mga tiwali at mapang-api, tulad ng militar, kapitalista at liderato ng gobyerno. Ang pagdedepensa sa sarili ay kahit kailanman, lalo na kung ang dinidepensahan ang interes ng nakararami, ay makatarungan.

3)Kaya nga ang rebolusyunaryong kilusang pinamumunuan ng CPP ay nakikibaka para sa pambansang demokrasya at sosyalismo, mga pakikibakang papawi ng isang maling sistema para maituwid ang lipunan ginawang atrasado ng imperyalismo, pyudalismo at burukrata-kapitalismo.

4)Wala naman iba pang dapat na sisihin sa kasalukuyang kalagayan ng bansa kundi si GMA (kasama pati ang mga sinundan nyang presidente mula kay Aguinaldo) at mga kaibigan at alipores nito sa loob at labas ng bansa.

5)Ang ang pagsusupil sa karapatan ng mamamayan ay ginagamitan ng armas na mapamuksa, hindi kailanman uubra na makiusap ang isang mamamayan sa militar upang tigilan na ng huli ang pananakit at pagpatay sa kanya. Kailangan ng depensahan ang sarili sa pamamagitan ng pag-aarmas at pagri-rebolusyon.

6)Sino ba ang punu't dulo ng pagkakahati ng lipunan? Masasapat lang ba na ang tingnan nating paghahati ay yaong sa administrasyon at oposisyon. O mas marapat na tignan nating ang pagkakahati ng mayaman at mahirap, ang mayroon at ang wala, ang malaking boses at ang mga walang boses, ang mapang-api at mga inaapi? Bakit may ganitong pagkakahati? ito ba ay dulot ng rebolusyon o ito ang syang tinutugunan ng rebolusyon? Mas tumpak para sa akin ang huli.

7)Makatotohanan pa ba sa kasalukuyan ang ideyang makapagsisimula pa ang lipunan sa kawalan. Nasan ang pagsasaalang-alang dito ng kasaysayan? Hindi ba ang marapat ay ang magpanday buhat sa kung ano ang meron tayo ngayon o ang kasabihang build on what we have? Ideyalista at pantasya ang pag-asang masusulusyunan lamang natin ang mga batayang problema sa lipunan sa pamamagitan ng pagbalik sa kawalan. Pantasya. Panaginip. Eskapismo.

Mahusay pa rin ang pakikibakang may ideyolohiyang makatao, mahusay na organisasyon at may tamang kondukta ng pulitika.

Ang masasabi ko lang dito ay, maaaring sa paglingon at paglinga mo ay nakaligtaan mong intindihin ang kalagayan ng lipunan at dahilann ng rebolusyon, at nakaligtaan mo ring kapanayamin ang mga bayani at bumubuhay sa rebolusyunaryong kilusan, never mind.

Ang tunay na rebolusyunaryong kilusan ay yaong tunay na tumutugon sa kapakanan at pakikibaka ng inaapi at pinagsasamantalahang bayan. Sino itong mga inaapi? Ang mga manggagawang di binibigyan ng karampatan at makataong sahod at benepisyo, ang mga magsasaka na walang sariling lupang sinasaka at baon sa pagkakautang sa mga panginoong maylupa, ang mga maralitang tagalunsod na ginagawang banyaga sa sariling bayan, ang mga katutubo na patuloy na kinakamkaman ng kanilang katutubong lupa at inaalisan ng kultura, ang mga kawani ng pamahalaan na patuloy na isinasawalang-bahala ang mga karaingan sa sahod at benepisyo, ang mga estudyante na patuloy na winawaksian ng karapatan sa edukasyon ng pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng komersyalisasyon ng edukasyon, at iba pa.

Ano ang kalagayan ng bansa at bakit ito nangangailangan ng tunay na rebolusyon at rebolusyunaryong kilusan? Ang ating lipunan at nakasadlak sa tatlong batayang problema, ito ang imperyalismo o ang paghahari ng dayuhan sa aspeto ng ekonomiya, pulitika at kultura ng bayan; ang pyudalismo o ang patuloy na pagkatali ng ekonomiya ng bansa sa atrasadong agrikultura at ang patuloy na pagmamay-ari ng iilan sa lupang binubungkal ng mga pobreng magsasaka; at ang burukrata-kapitalismo na ang ibig sabihin ay ang pagpapayaman at paggamit ng mga opisyal ng pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng kapangyarihan at pwesto sa gobyerno.

Nangangailangan ng rebolusyon at rebolusyunaryong kilusan para magapi ang tatlong batayang problemang ito dahil ang tatlong ito ay problemang sistemiko, ibig sabihin nakaugat sa kasaysayan at kabuuang istruktura ng lipunan; dahil ito ay di kahit kailan pa man lalapatan ng tunay na solusyon ng nasa pamahalaan; at dahil mismo ang pamahalaan ang nagpapahintulot na manatili ang mga suliraning ito.

Ang lider ng rebolusyon ay wala sa ibang bansa. Ang lider at sandigan ng rebolusyon at rebolusyunaryong kilusan ay ang masang Pilipino, ang masang inaapi at pinagsasamantalahan. Hungkag ang isang rebolusyon na pinangungunahan ng iisang tao o iilang grupo ng tao lamang, dahil wala itong kahahantungan kundi ang kangkungan. Ang rebolusyong hindi nakaugat sa masa, hindi pinapagalaw ng masa at hindi para sa masa ay rebolusyong walang tunay na hangarin kundi ang mas lalo pang paigtingin ang pananalasa ng malalaking kapitalista, malalaking panginoon maylupa at mga tiwaling pinuno ng pamahalaan.

Gayon din ang armadong hukbo ng rebolusyon. Kung ito ay nananakit at nagsasamantala sa masa ito ay hindi hukbo kundi grupo ng mga tulisan, ay, may opisyal na tawag pala sa mga ganito, ang tawag dito ay "Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)" at ang mga alipores nito.

Ang tunay na hukbo ng bayan ay yaong hindi nananakit, hindi mapanlamang, may disiplina at nakikiisa sa gawaing produksyon ng masa katulad ng pagsasaka at iba pang kolektibong gawain. Ang hukbong nagsusumikap mag-organisa ng mga pamayanan at nagsasagawa ng mga pag-aaral at diskusyon sa mga mamamayan upang mas lalong maintindihan ang tunay na kalagayan ng bayan at ang tamang solusyon. Walang ibang hukbong taglay ang ganitong mga katangian kundi ang Bagong Hukbong Bayan (BHB).

Pangalawa, ang mga susmusunod na komento ni never mind hinggil sa mga tsuper ng jeepney, mga maralitang tagalunsod, sa kabuuan, mga mahihirap sa lipunan, pati na rin ang hinggil sa pagtaas ng presyo ng langis, ay hindi nakaangkla sa realidad.

Halimbawa, sino ang mas abusado, ang tsuper ng jeep na hindi sumunod sa stoplight sa kadahilanang nagnanais lang magkaroon ng karagdagang kita o ang may-ari ng oil companies na sa araw-araw ay hayagang nanlilinlang at nanlalamang?

Alin ang mas mali, ang magsumikap ka na magkaroon ng kakapiranggot na lupa para pagtayuan ng munting bahay o ang magmay-ari sa napakaraming lupain sa pamamagitan ng pangangamkam at pananakit?

Alin ang mas nakakahiya, ang ibilad ang sariling katawan sa kalye buong araw para maghanap-buhay ng marangal o ang mangurakot sa bayan, ang manlinlang upang di magbigay ng tamang sahod at benepisyo, at mang-api ng mga manggagawa at kawani?

Ang pagtaas ng presyo ng ay may tunay na kadahilanan. At ito ay maaaring pigilan mismo ng mga malalaking kumpanya ng langis.

At isa pa, ang pagdami ng mamamayan ay hindi syang dahilan ng kahirapan kundi ito ay ang kabaligtaran.

Mayaman ang bansang Pilipinas kung likas na yaman at kakayahan ng mamamayan ang pag-uusapan. Subalit ito ay hindi naisasakatuparan, bagkus tayo ay nalulugmok sa kahirapan, dahil sa sistemang umiiral at sa pagsasabwatan ng mga dayuhang kapitalista, lokal na malalaking kapitalista, malalaking panginoong maylupa, mga buhong sa pamahalaang katulad ni Gloria at mga alipores nya, kriminal na militar at mga huwad ng progresibong grupo.

Mainam na lamanh at patuloy ang pagpapalawak at pagpapalakas ng pakikibakang Pilipino!

Kinulit ako ni Dilseh on my blog. Sabi nya, "Di ka na ba mag-update ng blog mo?" Sabi ko, "Lately, di na eh."

Nakakatamad mag-blog lately. I dunno why. Kinakain na naman ako ng katamaran ko siguro. Or sadyang wala lang ako maisulat dahil sobrang daming dapat isulat. Nandyan ang pagkakapanalo ni Bush sa 2004 US Elections, nandyan ang statement ni PGMA na tapos na raw ang fiscal crisis at magiging maalwan daw ang Pasko ng mga Pinoy, nandyan ang patuloy pa rin na lingguhang pagtaas ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo, sabay na rin sa price increase bandwagon ang Meralco at iba pang mga bilihin, nandyan ang kontrobersya sa AFP, nandyan ang iba pang mga isyu na nakakaapekto sa atin direkta at indirekta.

Parang sasabog na ang lipunang Pilipino. Ewan ko lang ha? Pero kung ako nga mismo, isang indibidwal na masasabing kasama pa sa matatawag na "middle class", ay nakakaramdam na ng hirap sa pamumuhay sa araw-araw, kung sa pinansyal na aspeto ang titignan, ano pa kaya yung mga tao na sadlak na sa kahirapan simula't sapul pa?

Halimbawa ang mga jeepney drivers. Sa tingin ko wala nang ganansyang nakukuha ang mga ito sa pagtaas ng pamasahe dahil na rin sa bilis ng pagtaas ng presyo ng langis na halos araw-araw na!

Ang labo lang kasi bakit itong mga oil companies, konting pagtaas lang ng presyo sa world market (na sabi naman ng isang article sa Philippine Revolution Web Central (PWRC), na binibili din naman nitong mga oil companies ang krudo mula sa kanilang mother companies, halimbawa, ang Pilipinas Shell na kumukuha ng supply ng krudo sa Royal Dutch Shell. So di totoo na nalulugi sila), taasan kaagad sila ng presyo ng mabilis pa sa alas-kwatro. Palagi nilang binabanggit itong tinatawag nilang "under recovery" na kelangan daw nilang bawiin. Sus. Kasalukuyan kong sini-search sa internet kung sinu-sino itong mga boss ng mga oil companies na ito.

Kung pwede lang sana ako magmungkahi sa Bagong Hukbong Bayan (BHB) o mas sikat sa tawag na New People's Army (NPA) na sampolan naman ang mga oil companies na ito. Halimbawa kunyari ang isang top executive ng Shell. Sampolan lang at ng magising or matakot naman itong mga oil companies na ito na wala namang kahabag-habag sa mga tao. Biro mo, sinasabi nila na kelangan nila bawiin ang under recovery kasi malulugi sila. Eh mga putragis sila, kinakaya-kaya lang nila ang mga mahihirap, mga mahihirap na walang kawala sa kahirapan dahil wala naman silang pamamaraan na tulad ng pagbawi ng mga hinayupak na under recovery na yan na sa totoo naman ay puro kasinungalingan. Alam naman natin na walang ibang pinuprotektahan ang mga hinayupak na oil companies na ito kundi ang proteksyon para sa tuluy-tuloy na pagkamal ng tubo o profit.

Pero alam naman natin na itong mga oil companies na ito ay hindi naman makakagawa ng mga masasamang gawain para magkamal ng supertubo kung hindi binabasbasan ng gobyerno.

Kung talagang gustong makatulong ng gobyerno sa tao. O kung totoong makatao ang gobyerno, isa sa mga pinakapangunahing dapat gawin nito ay ipawalang-bisa o i-scrap ang Oil Deregulation Law. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit walang habas ang mga oil companies sa pagtaas ng presyo eh. Kaso nagbubulag-bulagan si Gloria Arroyo. Teka, nagbubulag-bulagan o talagang tuta lang sya ng mga oil companies? Mas maniniwala ako sa huli. Kung kayang magsagawa ni Macapagal-Arroyo ng mga hungkag ng reporma tulad ng reorganization at austerity, kaya din nya ang repasuhin ang Oil Deregulation Law, kung meron syang political will at totoong pagtingin sa mga tao, lalo na sa mahihirap, pero mas kaya yatang sikmurahin ni GMA ang pahirapan ang mga tao, ang mga kawani ng gobyerno, at ang mga mamamayan, kesa pigilan ng tuluyan ang kawalanghiyaan ng mga oil companies. Tarantada kasi itong si GMA eh.

Sampolan din dapat itong si GMA ng BHB. Kung hindi man si GMA, sana sampolan muna ang mga top-level officials ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), Department of Energy (DoE), at iba pang ahensya na may kinalaman dito, maging ang Senado at Kongreso.

Isa pang dapat ng tigilan at tantanan ni GMA ay ang utang natin, ang ating foreign debt. Sinasabi na di raw maaaring di tayo magbayad ng utang panlabas, o kahit man lang moratorium sa pagbabayad ng utang, dahil malalagot ang ating credit rating (na isinasagawa ng mga grupo katulad ng Standard and Poor). Puta. Eh sa totoo lang naman ang inuutang natin ay pinambabayad lang din natin sa interes ng utang natin eh. Kung hindi pinangbabayad sa interes ng ating utang ang mga inuutang natin, napupunta naman sa mga walang kwentang proyekto o di kaya, sa kurapsyon, tulad sa AFP at sa iba pang ahensya at opisyal.

Atsaka, kung utang tayo ng utang para makabayad ng interes, lumalabas na di na natin nababayaran ang prinsipal ng utang natin. Ibig sabihin, lumalaki lang ang prinsipal ng utang natin at patuloy tayong nasasadlak at nababaon sa utang na halos wala na tayong kawala.

Sinasabi pa nila, "We are just extending the maturity date of our foreign borrowings". My ass. Dapat sampolan din ang top-level officials ng Department of Finance (DOF) eh, sampu ng mga tinaguriang "economic managers" ng bansa, kasama na rin si GMA na isa raw mahusay ng ekonomista. Tae nya.

Sasabog na ang lipunang Pilipino. At hindi ko rito tinutukoy ang pagsabog na magdudulot ng anarkiya o kaguluhan walang patutunguhan. Ang tinutukoy ko rito ay ang pagsabog ng lakas ng rebolusyong Pilipino. Simple, lang, kung wala ng maaasahan a ang mga tao sa gobyerno ngayon, at wala na rin namang maaasahan pa sa hanay ng oposisyon, saan na hihingi ang mga tao ng kalutasan ng samu't saring problema ngayon, eh di sa rebolusyonaryong kilusan. Si GMA, katulad ni Marcos nung 1960s hanggang 1980s, ay nagiging number one recruiter ng mga rebolusyunaryo. Sa patuloy nyang pagwalang-bahala sa hinaing ng mga tao, at ang lalo pa nyang pagdadagdag sa paghihirap ng tao, patuloy na dadami ang sasampa sa rebolusyon.

Masasampolan sya ng dagok ng sambayanang Pilipino.

Ten reasons why the Arroyo regime is ripe for the ousting
October 26, 2004

There are ten outstanding reasons why the corrupt, antipeople and puppet regime of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is ripe for the ousting.

1. It has failed to take any measure to stop the incessant increases in oil prices resulting in more economic difficulties for the Filipino people. It has chosen to capitulate to the international overpricing scheme of multinational oil companies. It has guarded and defended the drive of foreign oil multinationals for superprofits. It has shown the least concern for the Filipino people who suffer gravely for every increase in the prices of oil products. There is widespread clamor to repudiate the oil deregulation law. Yet, Arroyo, true to her pro-US "free market" ideology, has adamantly refused to even subject it to review.

2. It has failed to address the constant rise in the prices of food and other basic commodities. Through government edict, the prices of electricity and water have increased and will continue to increase in the next few months. The Arroyo regime has failed to institute measures to stop overpricing by unscrupulous big traders. On the other hand, it has persistently opposed any substantial increase in minimum wages. It addresses the problem of hunger with insignificant band-aid measures like the much-vaunted food coupons scheme.

3. It has failed to generate employment, despite its declarations to do so. It has not taken measures to carry out national industrialization and land reform. Instead, it relies heavily on the export of labor to ease the unemployment problem. Locally, it cannot show anything beyond the call-center "boom" which does not contribute anything significant towards the all-sided development of the economy and is bound to dissipate in a few years' time.

4. It has perpetuated the over-reliance of the Philippine economy on foreign credit, leading to the worsening Philippine foreign debt crisis. Philippine foreign debt now stands at $56.3 billion. Arroyo refuses to repudiate the Automatic Appropriations Act and assiduously makes debt payments. By 2005, the Arroyo regime will have squandered P2 trillion in foreign debt servicing. At the same time, Arroyo has increased local public debt to P1.8 trillion from just above P1 trillion four years ago.

5. It has made obscene cutbacks on social spending to enable it to continue foreign debt servicing and reduce its budget deficit. Government services now cost more, making much needed health and education services inaccessible to the toiling masses. It has refused to increase the salary of teachers and public health workers, leading to a mass exodus of professionals seeking overseas employment as nurses and caregivers.

6. It plans to impose additional tax measures that would increase the tax burden on the Filipino people and worsen their economic hardships. In planning to impose tax measures on oil, alcohol and cigarette products and telecommunications services, the Arroyo government is demonstrating its extreme callousness to the people's plight. Increased state revenues through increased taxes will not accrue to the the people in the form of improved health, education and other essential social services. Instead, it will only enable the Arroyo regime to continue its corruption and the equally burdensome foreign debt servicing.

7. It has brought bureaucrat capitalist corruption to new heights. With the worsening crisis and contraction of economic production, high-ranking military and civilian officials, including Gloria and Mike Arroyo themselves, have employed their power and influence to receive millions of pesos of bribe money and engage in unscrupulous dealings. The Arroyo regime has constantly raided public pension funds for their private use. Billions of pesos of GSIS and AFP funds were used by Arroyo for her election campaign earlier this year. It is estimated that up to P120 billion is lost annually to corruption. Arroyo extends protection to crrupt officials in exchange for a percentage of their booty.

8. It has unleashed unprecedented violence against the people. It has waged a violent "war of terror" that targets principally unarmed civilians and people's organizations in both the cities and countryside, in a desperate bid to stop the growth of the armed revolutionary movement. It has employed the iron fist policy to quell dissent under the pretext of quashing destabilization plots. The Arroyo regime has repeatedly dispersed street demonstrations, especially those undertaken by the toiling masses to voice out their democratic aspirations.

9. It has practically ended peace negotiations with the National Democratic Front and shut off the possibility of a political settlement of the current armed conflict by unilaterally imposing preconditions in violation of previously agreed principles. The presidential adviser on National Security has arrogantly declared that peace talks can only proceed if the NDF agrees to a ceasefire. The Arroyo regime has exhibited extreme indifference to pursuing the peace talks by consistently failing to undertake its obligations stipulated in past agreements including the February and April Oslo Agreements of 2004. These include the need to take positive measures to address the oustanding issue of the terrorist listing of the CPP, the New People's Army and NDF Senior Consultant Jose Ma. Sison.

10. It has exhibited boundless puppetry to US imperialist policy. It has allowed and encouraged the US government to carry out military intervention in the Philippines in the guise of launching so-called "joint military exercises" and allowing it to use the Philippine as a platform for the rapid deployment of American troops in Southeast Asia and the Pacific region, in general. It has failed to stand up for national sovereignty in allowing the US to determine national policy through its unilateral and unfounded inclusion of the CPP, the NPA and Jose Ma. Sison in its list of "foreign terrorists." It has implemented economic policies in line with imperialist globalization which violate Philippine national patrimony and allow foreign monopoly capitalist firms to control strategic public enterprises to the detriment of Philippine local business and the interest of the Filipino people.

The removal of Arroyo from Malacanang may take various forms, either through a popular uprising, a civil disobedience movement, a mass withdrawal of support by political parties and personages, a voluntary resignation of Arroyo, a coup d' etat or any combination thereof.

In intensifying the revolutionary armed struggle and carrying out more frequent and bigger tactical offensives, the New People's Army is able to help weaken the Arroyo regime and contribute to the Filipino people's effort to overthrow it.

Whatever form it takes, the political authority that will take its place will have to confront and address the ten oustanding issues of the Filipino people enumerated above that have caused grave unrest and dissent against the Arroyo regime.

Unrooting the problems confronting the Filipino people, however, entails more than replacing the personalities of the reactionary state. It requires the overthrow of the ruling oppressive and exploitative social system. This can only be achieved by establishing a people's democratic government to replace the reactionary state of pro-imperialist, big bourgeois compradors and big landlords. The people's democratic government, a government of workers, peasants and other patriotic classes, shall stand for national sovereignty and democracy, carry out genuine land reform and pursue the path of national industrialization.

Thousands mark Peasant Day vs landlessness, poverty and hunger
The age-old issues affecting the peasantry --- landlessness, hunger and poverty --- were expectedly the main issues at the rally in observance of Peasant Day last Oct. 21. The protest action, however, also became an occasion to air the growing demand for the resignation of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

"She assumed power through a people’s uprising in 2001. But now, the people will boot her out of office for the hardship she has inflicted on us."

Carmen Buena, chairperson of the peasant women's group Amihan (National Federation of Peasant Women), was obviously referring to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo when she spoke at a rally in Manila in commemoration of Peasant Day last Oct. 21.

Spearheaded by the Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP or Peasant Movement in the Philippines), Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas (Pamalakaya or National Forces of the Philippine Fisherfolk Movement), Amihan, and the National Federation of Sugar Workers (NFSW), the Manila rally was attended by more than 3,000 peasants from Southern Tagalog, Central and Northern Luzon, as well as hundreds of activists from other sectoral groups. There were simultaneous mass actions all over the country, involving more than 10,000 activists, the KMP told Bulatlat.

Demands

The peasant groups denounced, among others, the government's plan to privatize the National Food Authority (NFA), an agency mandated to stabilize rice prices.

"Instead of allocating funds to raise the NFA's capacity to purchase palay at its mandated price for peasant associations and cooperatives, (Macapagal-Arroyo) has aggravated the manipulation of palay prices by landlords, businessmen, and the rice cartel and thereby allowed the further sinking of the peasantry into hunger and poverty," read a joint statement by the KMP, Pamalakaya, Amihan, and the NFSW.

The NFA currently purchases rice at P10.50 ($0.19, based on an exchange rate of P56.315 per US dollar) per kilo. However, according to KMP chairman Danilo Ramos, the agency has only a one-percent market share due to lack of funds. The palay market, he said in a recent interview with Bulatlat, is controlled by the "rice cartel," which usually buys palay at only P7.50 ($0.13) a kilo.

Ramos, a farmer from Bulacan, said that because of this farmers usually earn only P2,000 ($35.51) after every harvest season --- which, he said, translates to P22 ($0.39) a day until the next harvest season.

According to the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC), a family of six living in Metro Manila needs P594 ($10.55) to fulfill food and nonfood requirements.

Meanwhile Elmer Labog, chair of the Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU or May First Movement), expressed support for the farmers' demands and lambasted the Macapagal-Arroyo administration for recently reiterating its proposal to impose eight new tax measures that have been already criticized for their being anti-poor.

"President Arroyo pleads for understanding from (the people), and asks us to endure until 2010, which is the deadline for her administration's MTPDP (Medium-Term Philippine Development Plan). This is great folly! It means we should die for the meantime, and come back to life come 2010," Labog said in a speech during the rally.

Four-day activity

The Oct. 21 rally ended the four-day activity of the progressive peasant movement. Peasant activists and other groups earlier held a vigil at the Department of Agriculture (DA) office in Quezon City starting Oct. 18.

The following day (Oct. 19), accompanied by their mothers and a number of peasant leaders, some 30 children from Hacienda Luisita, a 6,000-hectare sugar plantation owned by the Cojuangco family in Tarlac (about two and a half hours north of Manila) picketed the house of former President Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino on Times St., Quezon City to protest the retrenchment on Sept. 30 of 326 workers.

The Hacienda Luisita children and their mothers refuted claims of the management that workers had to be retrenched because the company was losing money. "If the company is indeed losing money, (the Cojuangcos) should just give the land to us so we can tend to it," said Carina Espino, secretary-general of the United Luisita Workers Union (ULWU).

Espino told Bulatlat that Hacienda Luisita has been undergoing land conversion since 1995. Because of this, she said, Hacienda Luisita workers and residents are being displaced.

A million signatures for president's resignation

On Oct. 20, the peasant protesters held a "Street Conference" as part of the program at the DA office in which, among other things, they launched a "Manila Declaration," a petition aiming to gather a million signatures for the resignation of Macapagal-Arroyo.

"Based on data from the government itself," the declaration read, "481,000 peasants and fisherfolks lost their livelihood within just one year, from April last year to April this year."

At the Oct. 21 rally, Apolinario Alvarez, chairperson of Anakbayan (Nation’s Youth), scored the Macapagal-Arroyo administration for causing the hunger of millions of Filipinos. He also reiterated the Manila Declaration's call for Macapagal-Arroyo's resignation.

The declaration assailed the anti-peasant and anti-people policies of the Macapagal-Arroyo administration, including agricultural trade liberalization and the absence of a genuine agrarian reform program.

Arroyo regime cannot defeat people's war even with US terrorist support -- CPP
October 21, 2004

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today brushed aside Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s declaration that it has the support of the United States in its effort to fight the armed revolutionary movement in the Philippines.

CPP spokesman Gregorio "Ka Roger" Rosal dismissed Arroyo's statements as empty threats.

"It is not the support of the US, the No. 1 international terrorist, that will determine the outcome of the current civil war in the Philippines. It is the support of the Filipino masses," Rosal said.

"In this regard, the New People's Army has the strategic advantage. As the crisis of the ruling system worsens, more and more people see the need to overthrow the oppressive and exploitative system," he added.

"More and more people join the NPA as the Arroyo regime carries out policies that compound the sufferings of the Filipino people. In a sense, Arroyo herself is an NPA recruiter," Rosal declared. "Arroyo's policies convince the people to carry out mass resistance and join the armed revolution."

Unlike the Arroyo government that has to rely on US support to carry out its counter-revolutionary war, the New People's Army is able to advance the revolutionary armed struggle self-reliantly, Rosal explained.

"It is the Arroyo regime that relies on its links with US international terrorism," Rosal said, in a takeoff from Arroyo's claim of "growing ties" between the revolutionary movement and so-called international terrorist groups.

Rosal moreover condemned Arroyo's statement calling for US support in its counter-revolutionary war as a total lack of historical perspective and a blatant disregard for Philippine sovereignty.

"US imperialism killed 1.5 million Filipinos in the Philippine-American War from 1898 to 1913 and has trampled on the Filipino people's national freedom many times in the past," Rosal said. ###

Waiting in Vain

It's already 9:31 p.m. but I'm still here in the office. We (Mamsu, Cecille and Mark, and I) are still waiting for Ricsal's corrections. I have "questions" but I'd rather keep mum about it at this point in time.

If we didn't have this work today, I could have written about the following:

1) The two kids who died yesterday of poisoning due to the lechon and chicken that their father took out of the garbage can and brought home;

2) The capture of the "perpetrators" of Colonel Manolo Martinez's murder and the corresponding comment from Mr. Noli Santos;

3) The peasant mobilization held at the Department of Agriculture and their call for the ouster of PGMA;

4) The daily oil price hike and the reaction of the National Price Coordinating Council;

5) My question on why cops here in the Philippines don't pay fares when riding the bus, jeep, etc.; and,

6) My question on why telenovelas here in the Philippines are as such.

Maybe tomorrow I can take these stuff up.

I just hope no more stupid assignments like these would mess with my born-again blogging life.

I have a terrible cold. I dunno how I got afflicted by this but it's really making my nose, my eyes and my breathing miserable right now.

Anyway, after a long period of time I think I'd like to get back to blogging again. I'd just try to care less to the fact that the aesthetics of my site sucks, I'd just make up with insightful and hard-hitting contents of my artiks. c",)!

I've been away for a long time that I don't how or what topic to take up in order to restart my online writing.

On my way to work this morning I saw a vehicle with an Anakpawis flag in Philcoa. I thought it was just passing by on its way to Congress or somewhere in Quezon City. At any rate I felt good because I seldom see flags of progressive groups (the national democratic or natdem ones) these days. I only get to see those flags on TV when there's a news about a raaly or a mobilization conducted by these groups (Bayan Muna, Anakpawis, Bayan, KMU, KMP, etc.)

But that was just not it. When our office shuttle passed by the office of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), I saw a phalanx of vehicles and people with flags of my favorite progressive groups, mostly groups affiliated with the Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (I saw the banner of STOP EXPLOITATION in the bunch). I guess they were there to do a mobilization. I just wasn't able to catch the issues/problems they were raising coz the shuttle was moving relatively fast. Anyway, I'm sure whatever the issues were, they were genuine and rooted to reality, and I'm also very sure that DAR, it's secretary and the President, PGMA, won't listen to these issues and demands of farmers and peasants, as they always do.

Anyway, I had mixed feelings after seeing them. I felt good that the genuine people's movement is still very much active (which should rightfully be so given the worsening social and economic situation in the country right now) but I also felt bad coz all the while they're waging a rightful struggle, I'm still with the other side. It sucks, being with the other side.

Then I heard Sandee, an officemate, comment on something, I heard him say "Pasista", referring to what I think he read from one of their banners. I think he was commenting and implying that these groups are always using the word everytime. He blurts, "Puro na lang pasista-pasista."

What can I say. Well, Sandee has been known to comment on anything and everything,just like Noli Santos, an elderly shuttlemate, only that the former makes little bit of sense compared to the latter's pure nonsense.

"Pasista" is what characterizes our Philippine armed forces, and of course, it's boss, PGMA. Well, I think the description is quite accurate. An AFP who is composed by the likes of Jovito Palparan and led by a Commander-in-Chief who loves to harbor, protect and promote the likes of Jovito Palparan is really a fascist military and a fascist President, to say the least.

By the way, for those who are not familiar with Jovito Palparan, this guy is the one who ordered the murder of peasant and human rights leaders Eddie Gumanoy and Eden Marcellana in Mindoro last year. The murders of Gumanoy and Marcellana are just two of the hundreds of murders cowardly undertaken by Palparan and the military in the island of Mindoro.

It's bad. But I feel good that one of these days, or maybe in the near future, Palparan will be brought to justice, not through the mainstream courts or the military or the President, but through the only genuine court here in the country, the people's court. I can't wait for that day to come.

On so-called links with international terrorist organizations

a) The US-Arroyo regime has a fetish for quoting spurious "intelligence reports" as proof of unfounded allegations. So-called links between the CPP and revolutionary organizations with terrorist organizations are mere figments of Arroyo's imagination.

b) The CPP and the revolutionary organizations of the Filipino people build healthy relations with other communist and anti-imperialist organizations around the world. The revolutionary movement in the Philippines establishes international relations on the basis of principles such as anti-imperialism, social justice, democracy and equality. This is in contrast to the foreign policy of the reactionary state that promotes mendicancy, dependence and blind obedience to the economic and political policy dictates of US imperialism.

On Malacañang's review of negotiations with the NDF

a) Judging from its attitude and actions since December 2003, Malacañang has been conducting peace negotiations with the NDF only for political expediency. When she needed "ganda points" for the May 2004 elections, Arroyo vigorously pushed for negotiations and even agreed to the impelementation of the CARHRIHL (Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law). Through her negotiators, she agreed to take positive steps to address the issue of the US terrorist listing of the CPP, NPA and NDF Senior Political Consultant Jose Ma. Sison.

Since the elections, however, Malacañang has been dragging its feet in meeting its obligations under the Oslo agreements of February and April 2004, specifically with regard to the issue of the terrorist listing. When the US insisted on renewing the inclusion of the CPP, NPA and Jose Ma. Sison in its so-called list of foreign terrorists, Arroyo kept silent and refused to invoke national sovereignty against the interventionism of the United States.

Through its statements, Malacañang is proving to the world that it is incapable of seriously carrying out its obligations stipulated in past agreements; and is not sincere in addressing the root causes of the armed conflict. It is up to Arroyo to prove otherwise and show that she is not just using the peace negotiations with the NDF to gain political "ganda points".

b) Malacañang wants the people to believe it is mulling a reversal of the way it addresses the revolutionary armed struggle—from peace negotiations to intensifying the counterrevolutionary war. In reality, however, even as it used the peace negotiations, never has the reactionary state relented in its attempt to crush the NPA and the other revolutionary forces through force of arms. The peace negotiations have never supplanted the state policy of all-out counterrevolutionary war. In fact, even during times when the military declared the NPA to be a "spent force", majority of the AFP’s combat troops continued to be deployed in the revolutionary movement’s guerrilla zones nationwide.

The AFP can never defeat the NPA. The NPA will continue to grow as thousands of people are constantly drawn to it by their desire to end the present exploitative and oppressive social system. The AFP is wracked with internal disunity and dissent and is overly dependent on the military support of US imperialism. It does not enjoy the people’s support and is in fact loathed by them for oppressing the people and wantonly violating their human rights.

On so-called "unrelenting agitation" of labor, transport and other sectors

Ultimately, it is Gloria Arroyo's callousness vis a vis the people's plight that agitates the people. It is Arroyo herself who incites the people to revolt against her regime through her adamant refusal to raise wages, her sympathetic concern for oil companies' ability to make superprofits and raise prices of oil products, her hardheaded insistence on compounding the suffering of the Filipino people through additional tax measures, her insulting and obscene "food coupon" scheme, and her defense of corruption and her corrupt officials, among others.

Civil disobedience against a regime that is corrupt and protects only the interests of foreign and local big business is a just option for the people. It is 100% correct for the Filipino masses to revolt against the corrupt and antipeople US-Arroyo regime.

We enjoin the people to carry out all legal and illegal forms of struggle against the US-Arroyo regime. They can join the New People's Army and advance the revolutionary armed struggle that aims to overthrow the present rotten economic and political system.

On the youth sector

Malacañang says that "it should protect the youth from being recruited into underground organizations, as well as the scourge of illegal drugs."

First, we’d like to point out that the "Join the NPA!" drive is attracting thousands of students and out of school youth, precisely because of the failure of the reactionary Arroyo regime to address the needs of the people, especially the needs of the Filipino youth for education and employment.

It is not only the rural youth who are flocking to the NPA. In colleges and universities, and in urban communities across the country, students and youth are responding positively to the call to join the revolutionary armed struggle in the countryside. Through our internet homepage, we receive daily emails from students and young professionals asking how to join the CPP and NPA.

Second, one can easily observe that in schools and areas where the revolutionary movement among students and young people is strong, the evil influence of the illicit drug trade is weak. On the other hand, it is where the police and military are strong that drug addiction is widespread, as drug pushers either receive protection from their military and police sponsors or belong to syndicates run by military and police elements.

Wasting Away (The Resurrection)

I tried to write a blogartik this morning and almost got myself halfway to finishing the artik. But I dunno why I cancelled it. I lost the impetus to finish the piece and publish it. The title of that unpublished blogartik was "Wasting Away" and I wrote there the Fearless Freepy thing I did over the weekend. If you think of it, parang napaka-wasteful nung ginawa ko. Pero, I'm not defending my weekend bourgeois-decadent spending, I was really, as in to-the-max, wishing for the above-mentioned CDs to be re-printed and redistributed here in the Philippines. Like, for over a year (or nearly two years) nawalan totally ng stock ang mga CDs na nabanggit sa buong Pilipinas and for almost a year talagang I frequented record bars on a regular basis and checked almost all the music establishments all over Metro Manila just to look for and acquire these CDs. I even entertained the thought of having a credit card so I can order them sa E-Bay or something like that. Akala ko kasi no way ng maging available ulit tong mga CDs sa mga record bars dito sa Pilipinas.

Pero luckily for me, natupad pangarap ko nung weekend. Though may kulang pang isang artist at titles nila, yung Nailbomb and their two albums, "Point Blank" and "Proud To Commit Commercial Suicide", at syempre pa ang "Blood-Rooted ng Sepultura, okay na rin kahit papano.

So ayun, PhP2,300.00 na lang natitira sa pera ko. Wala na ko pang-enroll sa MPA program. c",)! Dapat ba ko maging masaya o malungkot? Masaya kasi may CDs na ko ng paborito kong grupo. Malungkot kasi wala na ko pang-enroll. Time will tell.

Pero ang isa pa sa pinakamahalagang nangyari sa weekend ay ang pagdating ng mother ko. Lalo naging masaya kasi nalaman ko just today na yung dahilan ng pagpunta nya dito sa Manila from the province, yung pagpapatingin sa problema nya sa mata, ay medyo success kasi masusolusyunan na yung eye problem nya dahil nabigyan na sya ng gamot ng doktor. Yihehay!

May mga iba pang nagyari the past week pero I'll just keep them in "the deepest recesses of my mind"... c",)!

Sleepwalker

Antok ako to-the-max. Kaya lang ako nagpumilit magsulat sa blog ngayon kasi kung di ako nagkakamali, tatlong araw na akong di nagpa-publish. Pangit pag ganun. Mas pangit pag pinaabot ko pa ng apat na araw.

Antok talaga ako. Sarap matulog. Kaso di pupwede kasi may posibilidad na masisante pag natulog during office hours. Kaya kahit mahirap, tiis na lang at piliting nakadilat ang mata.

Antukin ba ako? Di naman. Nagkataon lang talaga na medyo maaga ang gising at di na gaano nakatulog ng matagal. Hirap din yung ganitong Byernes tapos inaantok. Kaka....antok.

Antok din si Dude. Gusto din nya sana matulog pa pero sinabi ko nga, posible masisante pag natulog during office hours. Nainggit nga ako kanina sa kanya kasi ang ganda ng pwesto nya sa may sofa sa receiving area ng office namin.

Antok ako at gusto na matapos ang linggong to. Oo. Sana matapos na ang linggong ito. Sana wala ng dumating pa na trabaho na gagambala sa buhay namin dito ngayong araw. Okay lang kung di rush tulad ng natanggap kong FYI/appropriate action na dokumento kanina. Kung rush kasi masyado maligalig at ang masama pa dun, baka overtime at di agad ako makauwi, makakain, makapwesto at makatulog.

Antok ako kaya ako ay isang ghost. Wala lang. Parang walang ugnay pero trip ko lang ihambing ang pagiging antok sa ghost. Kasi pag antok ang isang tao, feeling nya lumulutang sya na di maintindihan at maipaliwanag. Parang ghost na nakalutang. Teka? Lahat ba ng ghost nakalutang? Espesyal na tipo ba ng hangin o air ang ghost? Di ko alam. Di ko maintindihan.

Hunger Strike(n?)

10:10am pa lang. Damn, gutom na ko. Ang konti lang kasi ng kinain ko kanina kila Ella. Nag-alangan naman ako bumili ulit ng agahan pagdating ko kanina. Tsk. Tagal ba ang lunch break. Almost 2 hours pa. Ansama pa nito, ang gutom ay nahahaluan ng pangamba. Pangamba na baka kung ano na naman ang hanapin ni boss dun sa QCGEMCI CSW ko. Tsk.

Wala pa din ang prolucero_pms Yahoo mail account ko. Tsk. Talagang bugged. Di ko naman pwede itanong sa ITO kasi kung anu-ano na naman ang iku-comment nitong mga kaupisina ko. Kesyo internet lang ako ng internet. May pagkatotoo pero sino ba ang hindi? Hehe! Pag di talaga ako makapagpigil bibili ako ng burger dun sa Scott sa baba. Kung di lang naman ako makapagpigil.

Punta kaya ako sa bangko na lang? Para magdeposito ng pera. Nakakaasar din yung relatively, may dala-dala ka na relatively malaking amount ng pera. Panganib sa buhay. Tsaka malaki ang propensity maging "Fearless Freep" pag nasa mall ka tsaka may dala-dala kang relatively malaking amount ng pera. Sige na nga banggitin ko na lang kung magkano dala ko, baka kasi sabihin libu-libo talaga dala ko, as in mga PhP50,000.00. Di naman, ano lang. PhP2,700.00. Malaking pera na sa kin yun eh. c",)!

Idadaan ko na lang sa hindi pagbatikos sa mga dapat batikusin ang gutom ko na to. Usually kasi, angst-ridden ang mga blogs ko eh. Pero ngayon, para di ma-aggravate ang gutom, holiday muna ako sa batikos. Baka mapadali pagkasira ng katinuan ko kung dadagdagan ko pa ang kagutuman ng agit eh.

Nakakapawi din ng gutom ang boses ni Tracy Chapman eh. Ngayon, as I'm writing this, she's singing "For You" sa Windows Media Player ko. Ei, naalala ko tuloy, hihiramin ko yung Yano pirated CD ni Do para i-load ko sa Media Player.

Wala pa si Erika. Kelan kaya sya aakyat para kunin ang orders naim... HEY!!!!! What do you know! Nandito na si Erika para kunin ang orders! Yihehey! Mi muy buenas! Hehe! Sandali kunin ko lang ang order ko.... Yun, nakapag-order na ko. One order of creamy spare ribs (ano kaya ang itsura nung ulam na yun, sana okay. At sana masarap.), one-and-a-half cup of rice and melon juice. I'm keeping my fingers crossed na sana pag-akyat ng order mamaya, di sana ma-late at lalo na, di sana mali ang dalhin sa kin. Fingers crossed, fingers crossed.

Pinalitan na ni Jello Biafra at ang kanyang Dead kennedys ang tugtog sa Media Player. Astig talaga ang Dead Kennedys. Ang title ng kanta ay "Night of the Living Rednecks".

7pm na. Pero ala pa din ang sinasabing issues. To add insult to injury, di ko pa din mabuksan ang prolucero_pms ko na Yahoo mail account. Buhay nga naman oo. Anxious tuloy ako ngayon kung mabubuksan ko pa ang account ko na yun o hindi na. Yun pa naman primary e-mail account ko. Dati nabiktima rin ng parang ganyan ang prolucerojr ko na account eh. Tsk. Anlabo din minsan ng wired world, lalo na kung ang naggu-govern ay ang ITO.

Ano pa ba ang magandang isulat habang naghihintay, para di mabuwang sa kaburatan. Teka, kaninang umaga pa masakit tong left index finger ko ah. Ano kaya ang aberration nitong daliri ko na to?

Wala na din ako maisip i-search sa allthewebb.com. Nakakaasar talaga ang ganitong mga oras. May bayad kaya ang paghihintay namin na to? O baka kuriputan na naman kami? Di ako papayag. Nakauwi na sana ako ngayon at nakakain. Wala talaga.

The Waiting Game

5:17pm na. Dapat kasama na kami ditong mga junior staff sa SPO sa shuttle ni Tito Art papunta Project 7 or kahit hanggang SM North lang.

Pero overtime kami. Kasi may issue pa daw na dadating. nakakaburat.

Buong umaga at hapon ay wala kami ginagawa. Tapos nung malapit na ang uwian, saka nagsabi na "Stand-by tayo, dahil may issues na dadating.". "Issues" ng leleng nila. Pihado related na naman to sa campaign ng putgabmo na si Gloria.

Eto ang nakakaasar sa opisinang to eh. Kala mo kung sinong nagpapa-require pa ng dress code. Rats! Eh sistema pa lang di na maayos-ayos eh. Para san pa ang dress code-dress code na yan kung walang kalatoy-latoy din naman ang sistema. Di lang sistema, pati pasahod, benepisyo, ITO, promotion, mga patakaran, etc. Walang kwenta.

So ngayon, andito kami. Nakatunganga. Buti na lang may internet. Pero mamaya nyan, pag kakailanganin para mag-research ng data sa mga websites, sasabihin "forbidden ek". Puta! Pati nga isang government site, forbidden daw! Morons!

Sabi pa nga ni Zack dela Rocha, "You're anger is a gift.". Buti na lang may outlet ang mga tao dito, ang magalit. Kaya lang, dahil sunud-sunuran ang employees union dito, hanggang sa sarili na lang ang galit at pagkadismaya, kinikimkim sa sarili. Pano ba naman madidinig ng nagbibingibingihan ang karaingan ng mga empleyado kung unyon mismo, nahihiya sa management. Sus!

May isang bossing dito, sabi ba naman "greedy" daw ang mga empleyado kasi puro CNA na lang ang iniisip. Greedy? Puta! Eh kung isaksak ko kaya sa bunganga nya ang upuan ko? Putragis, greedy ba yung gusto mo lang magkaroon ng kokonting benepisyo para magamit sa pangangailangan? Ganyang kabaliw ang ilan sa mga bossing dito eh. Sabayan pa ng anti-employees na Officer-In-Charge. Patong-patong na.

Sabi ko na nga ba matitira na naman ako eh. But I saw it coming though. I Gave that stupid CSW to Mamsu for editing without really thoroughly reviewing if I got everything that boss wanted me to include in that QCGEMCI CSW. This is a sick life.

The problem with me is that I really don't seem to have the motivation to do better in this work that I have. I mean, my work as a PMS employee. I think it's because I don't see any point in serving for a president which I hate. The only reason why I go to work every stupid weekday is that I have to, in order to earn a measly buck, and do the freakin' internet.

Which reminds me. My primary Yahoo mail account, prolucero_pms@yahoo.com, seems to be bugged. I dunno who's bugging the account, either ITO or whoever's got nothing to do but bug e-mail accounts, but it's really making me depressed coz I can't open the fucking account! I can open my other Yahoo mail accounts except for the prolucero_pms! This is crazy!

I wanna go home. Not to my rented place in Baesa, but in Samar. I wanna rot there. I'd surely rot anyway but it's better to rot in my hometown than in this sick city. In my hometown, I'll be with my mother, my three other older brothers, my sister and Cleopatra. I miss Cleopatra.

Fuck! I forgot to put a title on my blog this morning! Damn! I also nearly forgot putting a title on this current blog I'm working on. Hopefully, I won't get criticized again by Big Sister on grammatical and typographical errors and shit. Big Sister is really good..err.. excellent in this kind of thing, writing and editing other people's shit. Not that I hate her for that. I know eventually it'll pay, her criticisms. For the betterment of my shitty writing and all. I'll have to thank her at the end of the day.

Mamsu handed me the edited RCR on the request of some overseas Pinoy TV program. I hate the fact that people, Filipino people, need to go to other countries just to survive, to live a comfortable life. There's nothing comfortable with working away from your loved ones, your children, your family, etc. I hate the employment situation here in the country. When will this end? This insanity. When will they win? I hope they win in the nearest future. Blast the fucking imperialists, bureaucrat capitalists and big landlords! Fuck them all! Eat shit, all of ya!

I have to go back to my boring work. Fuck! The title nga pala.

So what do I have to say for today? La pa siguro. Maaga pa eh. Although medyo pressured ako ngayon kung ano na naman itatanong sa kin ni Mamsu regarding that freakin' QCGEMCI CSW na ginawa ko. Bahala na.

The Dying Man

I dunno why I always think about dying and all. But when there are instances where I suspect that this one co-passenger of mine looks like a robber and all, pananoia sneeks in.

Makes me think. Maybe I don't wanna die after all. Or maybe, not yet.

Tomorrow. I'm gonna submit my MPA application at NCPAG. I already have all the freakin documents except for one, the stupid essay. Applicants are required to write an at-least-500-word essay about why I'm applying for the program. Rats! The hell they care about my intention and motivation about entering the program. If i know, they're just dying for me to get enrolled and waste my hard-earned money.

Every person in Philippine society is dying, I think. Especially those in the marginalized sector. People composed of peasants, poor farmers, farm workers, workers, informal workers and settlers, indigenous people, etc. They are the group of people prone to dying in our society. Of course, the rich and the powerful also die, but not as easily and miserably as the poor people. This is insane. Why do poor people, their whole life spent in misery and toil, be given an insult to injury by dying miserably? Poor people die suffering from the injustice and inequality of this society. On the other hand, rich freaks, who live their lives in abundance and super-comfort, die in super-private wards of super-expensive hospitals? Man, this is crazy.

Even though I finish that stupid MPA program, after two years or if unfortunate, four years. I'm still going to die. But I have a choice, I think, to either to die working my butt out in my present workplace or die working with and for the people who die with ease and rapidity.

I'll ponder on what choice or path should I follow.

It's my urgent task. I think.
